Doctors who work in Greece’s social security fund system have walked off the job in a 48-hour strike, demanding that their fixed-term contracts be made permanent.
Those who began their strike Tuesday will be joined by state hospital doctors and health workers holding a 24-hour strike Wednesday against health sector spending cuts.
