Greek Liberal Party member of Parliament (and Shadow Minister) Sophie Mirabella compared the Prime Minster of Australia Julia Gillard to general Kadafi. A lot of people strongly reacted to that statement, so even the Opposition leader Tony Abbott was forced to keep his distance. The occasion of Mrs. Mirabella’s burst was that Gillard government decided not to keep their pre-electoral commitment and to proceed to the imposition of a special tax concerning environmental pollution. This decision resulted in a “war” between the government and the Opposition.
