2011 Oscar Winners: “King’s Speech” Best Motion Picture

“King’s Speech” was named Best Motion Picture at the 83rd Annual Academy Awards. The ceremony took place on Sunday February 27th at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, California. Many Greeks were part of the show. Greek film “Dogtooth” was nominated in the best foreign film category but the academy gave the Oscar to Denmark’s entry, “In a Better World”.  Greek-American Maria Menounos hosted the live Pre-show on the Red Carpet together with Krista Smith.
