The 2013 Mediterranean Games will finally take place in the city of Mersin, Turkey. Approximately a month ago, the Games were detracted from the cities of Volos and Larisa, due to many delays on sports installations. The most important reason that annoyed and forced the International Committee of Mediterranean Games to take the decision to detract the Games from Greece, was the issue of the Mediterranean Village. Despite the fact that Greece had promised to host the Games in the two cities of Thessaly, finally, due to financial reasons, Greece recommended that the athletes should stay in hotels or cruise ships.
