Greek Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism, Giogos Nikitiadis, visited Austria and contacted managers of 240 Austrian tourist agencies. According to Nikitiadis, Greek tourism is expected to rise this year. As a result, it will balance the loss of the prior years. Recent data shows optimism about the progress of Greek tourism for the current year, as many tourists will chose Greece for their vacation.
The Greek Deputy Minister had the opportunity to give interviews to the two biggest Austrian dailies and to Austrian television. He also visited the Holy Metropolis of Austria, as well as the Greek National School. Today he is expected to visit Brussels, to participate in an international conference.
