Australian Expatriate Educators Seminar Held in Crete

‘The Primary and Secondary Intercultural Education of Diaspora’, carried out by the National Strategic Reference Framework (NSRF) and co-financed by the European Social Fund and National Funds, organized an educational seminar for 30 expatriate educators.  The educators are from Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Ethiopia, Egypt, Sudan, Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Uruguay.  It will be held at the University of Crete in Rethymno and will last 2 weeks. Those educators who are interested in attending the seminar should apply at the Education Office of Australia and New Zealand.

The seminar is taking place from the 2nd – 3rd of April 2011 (arrivals) to the 16th-17th of April (departures). Twenty educators originate from Australia and New Zealand. The seminar aims to directly contribute to the improvement of the appropriate didactic methods through knowledge and experience exchange, related to Greek history and culture, the Greek educational system, the ‘living’ Greek language, and above all, the method of teaching the Greek language as a foreign language through the introduction of relative programmes of studies.
