Greek Alphabet Slowly being Replaced by Latin Alphabet

A new tendency is beginning to rise concerning replacing the Greek alphabet with the Latin alphabet. This tendency can be seen mainly in texts produced by computers, on TV and under the influence of foreign radio stations. This could hinder almost every aspect of Greek culture including thinking, writing and humanitarian studies in general. The media is now focusing on this and is looking to the Minister of Education for a statement concerning the tendency of replacing Greek with Latin.
It is quite unthinkable that we would willingly reduce the number of Greek letters in our alphabet replacing them with more Latinised ones, considering that the Greek language is one of the oldest in world history, has past the test of time and has enriched Latin and most European languages.
Attempts of the kind have occurred in the past in other countries, with a written language much more difficult than Greek in some cases.  Efforts ceased after strong reactions by the public.
