Palestine Youth Orchestra Preforms at Megaron Concert Hall

A fabulous cultural event took  place in the Athens Megaron Concert Hall by the Palestine Youth Orchestra (PYO).
The Palestine Youth Orchestra is the flagship orchestra of the Edward Said National Conservatory of Music. It was created in 2004 with the vision of bringing together young Palestinian musicians from around the world. Today it consists of eighty young Palestinian musicians ranging in age from 12 to 26 years old. Over the last years the PYO has performed in many countries. The PYO performs the classics of the symphonic repertoire.  It also makes a remarkable effort to show the work of Palestinian composers such as Marcel Khalife, Issa Boulos, John Bisharat, Ahmed al-Khatib and Salvador Arnita.
The event was brought to the Megaron courtesy of the sponsors.  Sponsors include Athens based Consolidated Contractors Company (CCC) and CCC President Said Khouri. Many people such as party leaders, composers, politicians, singers and musicians attended the event.
