Greek Man Attempts Murder for Better Sex Life with Mistress

A Greek man who pleaded guilty to stabbing his lover’s husband told a Victorian court that planning the attempted murder gave them a better sex life.
Melbourne chauffeur Ari Dimitrakis (sketch) stabbed Chris Soteriou five times in the chest and neck as the civil engineer left his 44th birthday celebrations at a Fitzroy restaurant in January, the Herald Sun reported.
The newspaper says Dimitrakis said he had had discussions with his lover Vicky Soteriou, 43, about plans to murder her husband to heighten their sexual enjoyment.
The Age reports that Crown prosecutor Andrew Tinney, SC, told the court that the couple plotted to kill Soteriou for his assets that include $2 million in superannuation and a family house in Ivanhoe.
Vicky Soteriou is awaiting a pre-trial committal hearing on charges including attempted murder.
The plea hearing before Justice Paul Coghlan continues.
