Professor G. Mpampiniotis gave a lecture at the University of Geneva titled: “Milestones in the Course of Greek Language”. He served as a guest of the Greek Association of Geneva.
Mpampiniotis stressed that language is identity, culture, and the very existence of a nation. The professor presented the course of the Greek language from the ancient times until today. He praised the long tradition of the University of Geneva in Greek Studies.
Mpampiniotis’ lecture was followed among others, by the Metropolitan of Switzerland, Ieremias and the new Consul General of Greece in Geneva N. Mpazas.
