“The Greeks of the Niagara Region” Book Published

A group of Greek authors in Toronto, Canada published a book about the installation of Greek immigrants in the country.

The publication now exists in the public library of Katerini. The donation was by one of its co-authors Ioanna Koutroulaki – Frantzou.

The book is titled: “The Greeks of the Niagara Region”.  It presents documents and many photographs. It refers to the social and cultural activities of the Greek community in this region.

The book was given to the Vice President of the Cultural Organization of the Municipality of Katerini by Mrs. Ioanna Koutroulaki – Frantzou. She underlined that the book has also an English version. Writing the book took many years of research.

The role of the Greek Community

Greece has a big community in Canada. The role of the Greeks there is really important. The donation of this wonderful book to the library is really touching and something very important from the Greeks abroad who promote the Greek culture and respect their mother country” said the Vice President of the Cultural Organization Mrs. Evdokia Kitsou – Papargiriou.
