A Reduction In The Amount Angelou Has To Pay

Yiannis Angelou, who used to be the closest cooperator of the former Prime Minister Costas Karamanlis, seems to have participated in Vatopedi case, one of the most important scandals of the previous governmen in Greece.
According to the authorities, he will have to post bail of 300,000 euros, not 400,000 as was originally demanded, to avoid being kept in custody for his alleged role in setting up the real estate exchange between the state and the Vatopedi Monastery.
Angelou denies any wrongdoing and had appealed for the bail to be reduced to 60,000 euros, insisting that there was no risk of him absconding.
