Today Greek Prime Minister George Papandreou visited the Fire Brigade Operations Centre and he congratulated the department for the super human efforts they make each and every day as well as for their coordination. “The coordination between the Fire department and the local governments as well as with the volunteers is the key to avoid tragedies…underlined Mr. Papandreou… We are in the middle of a hot summer and we all hope that everything will go on well.”
Finally, the Prime Minister also noted that efforts are being made in order to upgrade all fire stations with material means.
