A Greek student of Melbourne is the Prime Minister of the Youth Parliament in Victoria. This is Emmanuel Giakoumakis who is trying to persuade the Parliament of Autralia to pass new amendments in the Law regarding the sale of alcohol to places of entertainment.
The Youth Parliament’s Assembly is taking place while the Prime Minister is present.
Emmanuel Giakoumakis stated:
“We are the next generation and we have concerns. We believe that we have to submit our own suggestions concerning matters that are to influence our future. In addition, we learn how the Parliament is organised, how the discussion of the issues takes place and how one can submit a proposition to amend an article od the existing legislation”
