The Prosecutor’s Office is Knocking on A.Tsochatsopoulos Door

The head of the Public Prosecutor’s Office Eleni Raikou, ordered a preliminary examination on the issue of former MP Akis Tsochatzopoulou house at Dionysiou Aropagitou (photo). They will examine the legality of the purchase and sale of the certain property and further matters that are related to the house and the former minister. As also, the Financial Crime org. are about to begin investigations. The former minister threatens that he will take legal actions for what is done.
Mr. Paraskevas Adamis, was introduced by Mrs. Raikou responsible for the investigation. Mr. Adamis is asked to firstly study the data and verify if there is a case of tax violation, and then on to determine whether further crimes arise.
Yesterday, Mr Tsochatzopoulos was referred to the Committee on Transparency of PASOK. As of Monday afternoon, the Secretary of the Socialist Party, Socrates Xynidis, instructed to the Commission of Transparence to investigate all the publications that refer to the property on the road of Dionysiou Areopagitoy, and to report to the Ethics Committee.
Inside circles of PASOK believe that with the prosecution against A. Tsochatzopoulos he might also be expulsed from the Party.
Because of publications that link name of Akis Tsohatzopoulos with companies that managed money of Vatopedi Monastery, the party of New Democracy has requested an extension (for 4 months), of the Committee of Inquiry investigating the case.
