The “Troika” is Pressing Greece to Implement Changes In the Welfare System from 2015

The E.E. and I.M.F. pressure Greece regarding the changes that must be done to the welfare system. They want all actions to be taken and put into action by 2015 and not 2018.
E.E. and I.M.F. want, full pensions to be given only after 40 years of work have been completed, and that there shall be a yearly
Labour Minister Andreas Loverdos, said that E.E. and the I.M.F call for further reduction in pensions for divorced and unmarried daughters of civil servants as also pensions that are given to widows.
For the above, the Commission proposes to stop giving pensions to those who are under the age of 50, and is to be administered according to their incomes (as a criterion) to women who are under 65.
Mr Loverdos said that by next Christmas he will give a ‘ corrective amount ‘ to pensioners that have remuneration up to 800 euros. There will be an extra 100 euro Christmas gift and other 100 euro as an Easter gift.
