Christopher Vellios, a 26-year old American of Greek descent died tragically in a car accident, which took place in Riverside, California on Wednesday evening local time.
The unfortunate incident took place in Rancho Mirage, when a car overran Vellios, who was walking as a pedestrian, injuring him seriously.

According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, the pedestrian succumbed to his injuries and was then transferred to the Riverside County Coroner’s Bureau, where his body was identified.
An investigation followed, which lasted for hours.
The driver of the car who overran the 26-year old Greek American was a 19-year-old Palm Desert man.
