Barcelona’s young superstar, Lamine Yamal, is currently vacationing on the Ionian island of Zakynthos, Greece, alongside his new partner, Ines Garcia. The couple was spotted strolling around the island, with Yamal taking some much-needed time to recharge following the conclusion of his domestic club season.
Zakynthos is renowned for its high-end luxury villas and 5-star, adults-only beachfront retreats. These properties routinely offer private infinity pools, secluded private beaches, and private yacht charters, allowing a high-profile superstar to decompress away from the public eye and paparazzi fully.

The 18-year-old winger has been sidelined since April 22, after sustaining a hamstring injury in his left leg during Barcelona‘s 1–0 La Liga victory over Celta Vigo. The injury occurred shortly after he successfully converted a penalty, ruling him out for the remaining stretch of the domestic campaign.
Despite missing the final weeks of the season, Yamal played a pivotal role for FC Barcelona this year, contributing an impressive tally of 24 goals and 18 assists across all club competitions. His spectacular performances helped secure the La Liga title for Barcelona, with the Catalan giants comfortably leading the league standings ahead of Real Madrid.
Will he play in the 2026 World Cup?
Yes, but he faces a race against time and is set to miss the start of the tournament. While initial projections suggested a lengthy 6-to-8-week recovery, Yamal is ahead of schedule. He has been included in Luis de la Fuente’s provisional squad, and Spain fully intends to have him ready for the tournament.
However, La Roja and Barcelona are taking a highly cautious approach to avoid any long-term health risks. According to recent updates, Yamal will be rested for Spain’s upcoming friendlies against Iraq and Peru, and he is officially ruled out for Spain’s World Cup group-stage opener against Cape Verde on June 15. He also remains a serious doubt for the second match against Saudi Arabia on June 21. The current plan is to target his return for Spain’s final group-stage clash against Uruguay on June 26, or safely integrate him during the knockout rounds.
