Israel’s national security minister, Itamar Ben-Gvir, shared an image of Israel Defense Forces (IDF) troops in the Gaza’s parliament. He stated that the photo depicts the Golani Brigade of the IDF.

Following the publication of the photograph, Israeli media published a video in which an Israeli commander stationed near the building claimed that the IDF had assumed control of the area.

Members of the IDF Golani Brigade were captured in a photograph displaying Israeli flags inside the Palestinian parliament building in Gaza City. These visuals surfaced in the wake of a statement made by Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, who declared that Hamas had lost control over the Gaza Strip.

According to media sources, Gallant stated, “Hamas has lost control of Gaza—terrorists are fleeing south, civilians are looting Hamas bases.” “They don’t have faith in the government anymore,” he also added in his statement.

Joe Biden Calls to Protect Hospitals

In a recent statement President Joe Biden emphasized the need to protect Gaza’s largest hospital, al-Shifa. “My hope and expectation is that there will be less intrusive action relative to hospitals and we remain in contact with the Israelis,” he stated.

President Biden expressed his hope for reduced intrusion during the ongoing conflict and stated that he hadn’t directly addressed the hospital issue with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu. Gaza’s health ministry reported that a minimum of thirty-two patients passed away in the last three days.

Israeli military officials have claimed the establishment of safe corridors to facilitate the evacuation of individuals from the intense fighting in the north to safer locations in the south. However, Palestinian authorities reported that the compound remains encircled by incessant and intense gunfire.

Israel’s Military Says It Found Signs of Hostages Held in Gaza Hospital

The Israeli military reported on Monday that it discovered evidence suggesting hostages were held in the Rantissi Hospital in Gaza, the Telegraph reported. Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari, a military spokesperson, presented video and photographs indicating the presence of weapons stored by Hamas in the hospital’s basement, which included grenades, suicide vests, and other explosives.

The hospital, specializing in treating cancer patients, was said to have housed a command center for Hamas fighters. Hagari noted signs suggesting hostage situations, saying ongoing investigations and intelligence verification. He showed footage demonstrating living quarters. He also pointed to a tunnel shaft believed to lead to the residence of a senior Hamas naval commander and said the hospital had been used as a base for attacks.
