The 64-year-old’s longtime manager, Guy Oseary, was the one who shared the singer’s health scare with the world through an Instagram post. Oseary revealed that Madonna has been compelled to postpone her highly-anticipated 40th anniversary tour due to her ongoing medical challenges.
He reassured fans that she is expected to make a full recovery and that her health is improving, but emphasized that she is still under medical care.
While Mr. Oseary did not provide specific details regarding Madonna’s treatment or the circumstances of her hospitalization, he did confirm that she was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) on Saturday and was diagnosed with a bacterial infection.
“On Saturday, June 24, Madonna developed a serious bacterial infection which led to a several-day stay in the ICU,” he wrote.
