The 2022 Concordia Annual Summit is concluding on Wednesday, September 21st at the Sheraton New York Times Square with closing remarks at 1:50 pm (ET) by Rt. Hon. Sir Tony Blair and the First Lady of the United States, Jill Biden.
The Summit, which is held in parallel with the UN General Assembly, convened the top movers and shakers of today’s world to spark dialogue, promote collaboration, and collectively pave the path toward a more equitable, sustainable future.
From the role of the international community in addressing Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and the need for private sector solutions to advanced environmental sustainability and democracy, this year’s Concordia Annual Summit provided an essential platform to bring together leaders and decision-makers from across sectors.
On the closing day, participants in the summit will have the opportunity to hear the views of former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair.
The United Kingdom is at a critical moment of conjuncture, and in a fortnight marked by the passing of the late Queen Elizabeth II, Blair will discuss its changing position in global influence post Brexit.
On the panel with Nicholas Logothetis, Co-founder and Chairman of the Board of Concordia, Blair will also discuss the increasing geopolitical challenges to Western democracies and examine the challenges for Western leadership following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
First Lady of the United States, Jill Biden, will address the participants. You can follow the events through a live stream by registering here.
During the Summit, Libra Chairman and CEO George Logothetis delivered a stirring keynote by discussing the mission and ethos of Concordia, which Libra launched in 2011 as a founding sponsor.
He said that Concordia’s mission from the start was to bring diverse voices from all levels together to discuss the world’s most pressing challenges.
He also spoke about the importance of continual learning and listening to find meaningful and creative solutions for global issues that affect current and future generations.
George Logothetis noted that for the audience, which spans heads of state, global business leaders, students, and everyone in between, “inspiration awaits” at Concordia.
