Teddy Ray, the Los Angeles born and raised comedian has passed away. He was 32 years old.
The performers death was announced by the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department. Teddy’s cause of death was cardiac arrest.
“Teddy Ray was a hilarious and beloved performer,” Comedy Central said via Twitter. “He’ll be deeply missed by the entire comedy community.”

The stand-up comedian, was most well-known for his appearances on popular television and internet comedy series. He made his television debut on BET’s Comic View.
Subsequently, he made numerous stand-up appearances on All Def Comedy on HBO and Comedy Central. Additionally, he joined the cast of MTV’s well-known Wild N’ Out series in its eighth season.
His most recent HBO appearance was in the comedy series Pause With Sam Jay with Sam Jay.
On July 30, 1990, Ray was born in Los Angeles and his legal name was Theodore Brown.
In addition to his appearances in several internet comedy series on YouTube through All Def Digital and television gigs, he became well-known within the local comedy community by routinely appearing at venues like the Improv and the Laugh Factory.
Tributes To Teddy Ray
Following the announcement of Ray’s death, tributes began circulating on social media from other fellow comedians, including Desus Nice and Quinta Brunson. “Rest well, Teddy,” Brunson wrote in a tweet. “The kindest and funniest. We’re all going to miss you far too much.”
Rappers Freddie Gibbs and Dumbfounded also sent their sympathies, with the former reposting a well-liked portion of one of Ray’s appearances on an All Def Digital YouTube series.
Over the years, several comedy videos by Ray have become viral, catching the attention of his fan base and other online communities.
Teddy Ray’s last Instagram post was a picture of him in the driver’s seat of a car two weeks ago when he celebrated his birthday. The caption red: ”Pulling up on 32 like….Lord, I thank you for another lap around this hot….sun.’’
