Four-time Grand Slams singles champion Naomi Osaka has been traveling around the island of Mykonos in Greece to celebrate her 24 birthday, which was on Saturday.
Osaka’s much-needed trip to Greece comes after the tennis star announced that she would step away from the court to focus on her mental health.
The athlete is on a whirlwind vacation in the Greek island of Mykonos with her family and friends for her 24 birthday. Osaka has shared stunning pictures from sites surrounding the island, and from the luxurious yacht the group has been traveling on.
Throughout her adventure in Greece, Osaka has taken a dip in the beautiful blue waters of the Aegean Sea and even visited the historic island of Delos.

You can see Delos, which is in its entirety a UNESCO World Heritage site, from the shores of the island of Mykonos, and the beauty of the island and its surroundings inspire all who visit.
From 900 BC to 100 AD, the island served as a cult center for the god Apollo. Eventually, it became a religious pilgrimage for the Ionians after undergoing a number of “purifications” at the command of the city-state of Athens around the 6th century BC.
It’s home to countless archaeological sites, including many temples and even the remains of the oldest synagogue known today.
In a picture posted on her Instagram account, Osaka posed in front of the stunning doric Temple of Isis on this small island.
The tennis star also relaxed in the iconic Little Venice area of Mykonos.
Osaka has suffered from depression and anxiety since 2018, when the Japanese-Haitian player defeated Serena Williams in a stunning upset at the US Open.
The reserved, shy player stated that winning does not maker her happy anymore after the 2021 US Open, and said that she would take a hiatus from the sport: “I think I’m going to take a break from playing for a awhile.”
She has not announced when she will go back to the court.
The athlete has been ranked the number one player by the Women’s Tennis Association, making her the first Asian player to ever hold the position.
Mykonos is a favorite destination for celebrities
The Greek island of Mykonos remains a hub of global luxury tourism, where international travelers can experience a slice of Grecian paradise.
Mykonos is a popular destination for celebrities due to its unrivaled cosmopolitan atmosphere, fine dining and luxury accommodations, and famous nightlife.

Just this summer, a number of famous figures have visited the island. Justin Bieber and his wife Hailey Williams visited the iconic Greek island in late June.
The couple enjoyed the picturesque streets of the main town of Mykonos and even became friends with local Greek residents there.
Actress Demi Moore also visited Mykonos in mid-July of this year as well. The 58-year-old actress was there with her 32-year-old daughter Rumer Willis in the popular Nammos area of the island.
The mother-daughter duo enjoyed their time in the sun together, taking a dip in the sea with each other and lounging around the beach with a few of their friends.
Tiffany Trump, the daughter of former US President Donald Trump, was spotted recently with her fiancé on her beloved Mykonos.
She has made the cosmopolitan Greek island almost her second home as she is known to have visited a number of times since 2018.
Tiffany, the fourth child of Donald Trump, and the only child he had with his second wife, Marla Maples, announced her engagement to Boulos on her father’s last full day in office back in January.
