Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston had social media buzzing after they reunited for a virtual read of “Fast Times At Ridgemont High”, drawing over 4 million viewers.
The table read also included Morgan Freeman, Shia LaBeouf, Sean Penn, Matthew McConaughey, John Legend, Jimmy Kimmel, Julia Roberts, Henry Golding, and Ray Liotta, among others. These A-list stars all came together to participate in this read for charity, as they raised over $135,000 for CORE – Community Organized Relief Effort.
Sean Penn founded CORE in 2020 to help mobilize quick responses to global disasters. Currently, the charity is helping those who are affected by COVID-19 and are in need.
Perhaps on purpose, Aniston and Pitt were paired up in a scene that had quite a bit of sexual tension and chemistry. The actors read the famously steamy scene between Phoebe Cates’ and Judge Reinhold’s characters.
Aniston has donated significant amounts to charity so far in 2020, donating to Color of Change as well as the National Association of Free & Charitable Clinics. This table read benefit was hosted by Dane Cook.
