President of the Hellenic Republic Katerina Sakellaropoulou, on the occasion of World Health Day on April 7, hailed the enormous efforts Greece’s medical and paramedic personnel have put forth to combat the coronavirus pandemic.
”We dedicate World Health Day to Greek male and female scientists, researchers, doctors, nurses and paramedics who are fighting against the coronavirus inside and outside of Greece,” the President’s message declared.
”We are proud of them and we thank them,” President Sakellaropoulou stated.

World Health Day is a global awareness day for human health celebrated every year on April 7, under the sponsorship of the World Health Organization (WHO), along with other health-related regional and international organizations.
A similar message was conveyed by Greek Premier Kyriakos Mitsotakis as well.

Prime Minister Mitsotakis uploaded a picture of a physician, with the message underneath saying ”THANK YOU.”
”All of Greece is grateful to the health staff of the country, who selflessly give the difficult battle against the coronavirus. To the heroes behind the masks: Thank you for everything,” the Premier’s statement says.
