Greek police arrested the owner of a jewelry store in central Athens and one more person on suspicion of killing a man who tried to rob the store.
The incident occurred during daylight hours on Friday on a busy street and it was captured on camera.
The shocking video shows the thief panicking when he realizes he is trapped and going on to break a street-level display window on the storefront with a fire extinguisher.
Two men are seen repeatedly kicking the man in the head and parts of his body as he laid unconscious.
According to police on Saturday, the would-be thief, who has been described only as being in 20s and a drug addict, died on the way to hospital as a result of his injuries.
