Greece and U.S.A. Agree to Create Joint Investment Committee

During their meeting on Tuesday, Economy Minister Dimitri Papadimitriou and U.S. Ambassador to Greece Geoffrey Pyatt, agreed to set up a Greek-American investment committee.
This follows the agreement between the Greek Ministry and the U.S. Department of Commerce, the Ministry said in a press release on Tuesday.
During the meeting, the two sides recognized the positive impact of Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras’ visit to the United States, in October.
The investment committee will examine business projects from both sides, aiming at encouraging and strengthening cooperation between Greek and American businesses. The committee is to meet twice a month.
The committee will also prepare for Papadimitriou’s next visit to the U.S. next December, in which he is to be accompanied by the U.S. Ambassador.
