Watch Greek Coast Guards Rescue 2 Refugees after Plastic Boat Carrying 70 Migrants Capsizes off Lesvos [video]

rescue coast guard lesvosOn Thursday around 10 a.m. local time, a plastic boat carrying 70 migrants crossing the Aegean to the Greek island of Lesvos sank off the coast of the island.
Initially, there were only 68 people accounted for, leaving the coast guard to conduct a search and rescue mission for two missing migrants.
They were rescued from the sea shortly after, and then the coast guard transported a total of 70 migrants to the port of Mytilene on Lesvos. The migrants were eventually transferred to the migrant reception center in Moria, a hotspot that is said to be overcapacity by a couple of thousand people.
One pregnant woman and a small child were taken to the hospital as precautionary measures.
