Refugees Clash With Police at Greece-FYROM Border (video)

Idomeni3Hundreds of angry refugees tried to tear down the wire fence in the neutral zone between Greece  and Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia and threw stones at Skopje police who responded with stun grenades and tear gas.
About 6,500 refugees are stranded at Idomeni, in the neutral zone between Greece and FYROM, after Skopje decided to allow only a few asylum seekers to cross each day.
At around noon on Monday, a rumor circulated among refugees that the borders will open for all. Then a large group of refugees moved towards the metal fence after picking up their belongings from the makeshift camp. They started asking for the border to open.
When the asylum seekers realized that the border will remain closed, they started throwing stones at police and demanding the crossing point to open. They actually managed to tear down a piece of the fence. FYROM police responded by using tear gas and stun grenades.
