21 Drowned Migrants and Refugees En Route to Lesvos Wash Up on Turkey’s Aegean Coast

Refugees-Wash-UpThe bodies of 21 migrants and refugees who were attempting to cross from Turkey to the Greek islands when their boat capsized due to the rainy weather conditions, washed up in the Aegean district of Ayvalık, Turkey on Tuesday, Greek media reports.
The boat transporting migrants and refugees from Turkey to the Greek island of Lesvos capsized at around 5 a.m. on Tuesday, according to the Turkish Dogan News Agency.
The Turkish Coast Guard teams rescued eight refugees at sea, Dogan News Agency further reports.
