Greek Prime Minister Will Likely Meet (Some) Greek Political Party Leaders on Saturday

,Olga GerovasiliGreek government spokesperson Olga Gerovasili noted that the Greek government wants to deliberate with the country’s other political leaders over the ongoing refugee crisis as well as over the upcoming reform on the country’s pension system, which is a long-term measure and thus requires discussion across the political spectrum.
The meeting is likely to happen on Saturday with Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras returning from his trip to Israel and Palestine and the President of the Hellenic Republic Prokopis Pavlopoulos returning from his visit to Rome on Friday.
Greek Communist Party (KKE) leader Dimitris Koutsoumpas has already declined to participate, noting that the SYRIZA-ANEL party is trying to create a fake sense of unity by calling this meeting.
Tsipras’s coalition partner and ANEL leader Panos Kammenos will attend the meeting, as will Union of Centrists leader Vasilis Leventis and “To Potami” leader Stavros Theodorakis.
Yiannis Plakiotakis, the newly crowned interim president of New Democracy, which is facing an internal crisis following the botched presidential elections, has yet to respond. PASOK leader Fofi has not responded either. Golden Dawn leader Nikos Michaloliakos will not participate.
