German Deputy FinMin: 'Tsipras' Comments Are Not Helpful'

tsiprasA German official noted that Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras‘ criticism towards the agreement for theĀ bailout deal with the country’s creditors isn’t helpful, according to the Associated Press.
On Tuesday evening, Alexis Tsipras had an interview with the Greek public television ERT, where he stated thatĀ “the policies imposed on us were irrational but the deal was the best Greece could get.” The country’s creditors are demanding that the Greek Parliament pass initial legislation on Wednesday.
German deputy finance minister Jens Spahn criticized Tsipras’ comments. “This is not just about saving money; it is about this country needing an idea of how it wants grow economically again, how it wants to be successful, change structures and win trust.”
“If someone then says, ‘I don’t actually stand by what I’m doing now,’ I find that difficult. That doesn’t necessarily create trust,” he added.
