Former Greek FinMin Varoufakis: 'I Will Not Vote Tonight'

varoufakis (2)Former Greek Finance Minister Yanis Varoufakis announced through his Twitter account that he will not be present at the Greek Parliament tonight, July 10, during the vote for the Greek proposal which is expected to be submitted to the institution on Saturday, July 11.
He also noted that he announced it through Twitter in order to avoid any misconceptions.
Varoufakis fully supports Greek Finance Minister Euclid Tsakalotos’ proposal and his struggle in the Eurogroup, especially on the issue of the Greek debt.
Earlier in the day he told reporters: “We need a firm commitment from the lenders’ part for the Greek debt, because otherwise Juncker will let us down, as he did with Venizelos.”
The Greek proposal for reforms and measures has been presented to the country’s Parliament and the official vote will take place later in the day.
