Mena Suvari Stars in ‘The Opposite Sex,’ Released Today

MenaSuvari

Greek-American actress Mena Suvari stars in the new romantic comedy “The Opposite Sex” that was released today on Video On Demand and DVD. The movie is the first of a slew of indie films being released by Cinedigm Corp. under its new agreement with VMI Worldwide.

Suvari stars as a successful, beautiful divorcee intent on taking revenge on all future men she meets after an ugly divorce with a cheating husband. She meets up with Geoff Stults, a successful divorce attorney and somewhat of a womanizer, leading to a hilarious battle of wits between the two. They enter into an intense competition with each other, and place a high-stakes bet on the outcome; the winner gets to control the loser’s life.

The cast also includes Broadway star Kristen Chenoweth, Eric Roberts, Kenan Thompson, as well as Jennifer Finnegan and Jonathan Silverman, who are also the film’s directors.

Suvari has been acting in Hollywood since 1995 and got her big break in 1999 when she starred in the wildly successful films “American Pie” and “American Beauty.”
