On Thursday, Greece announced the disbursement of 500,000 euros (669,000 U.S. dollars) to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) to deal with the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza Strip after the ceasefire.
Debt-laden Greece also expressed via UNRWA and the European Union willingness to accommodate and offer medical assistance to injured Palestinians, in particular children, a Greek Foreign Ministry statement said.
Israel’s latest military campaign in Gaza Strip this summer has left more than 1,800 Palestinians dead and approximately 10,000 wounded.
On the other side, Israel mourned 67 dead, mostly military.
