Mime Artist on Streets of Crete Really International Fugitive

mimeIt has been revealed that a mime artist, who entertained the Cretan town of Heraklion with various impersonations – notably of the famous silent actor Charlie Chaplin – was in fact an internationally wanted fugitive.
The artist had been frequenting Lions Square in Heraklion, but has absent from his podium since local police decided to find out who was behind the façade.
However, what they found surpassed their wildest imagination. They discovered that the artist to be a Romanian criminal issued with an international arrest warrant. According to local news, he had been living in a public parking lot in downtown Heraklion.
The Romanian criminal was not the only foreigner who works as a mime in the city, or the only foreigner who lives in that specific parking lot. People of the same profession who do various, sometimes peculiar, impersonations have troubled local authorities for a long time.
