Antenna Group, the world’s largest Greek media group, has appointed ex-NBC Universal International President Pete Smith as managing director.
Smith, who left his most recent position as chief executive of drama programming at Cineflix Studios, will lead the international expansion of Antenna Group. The Greek media company recently acquired channels in Romania, Serbia, Slovenia and Montenegro.
In a statement, the Chief Executive of Antenna, Theodore Kyriakou, said that Smith’s “25-year track record in film and television will be invaluable as we consider steps to extend our international media operations. Pete will manage our expansion and help us in creating or buying new and exciting digital assets.”
“I am looking forward to working with Theo and the team and developing Antenna’s strong presence in television channels, production and digital entertainment,” Smith said of his new role.
