Navarino Icons at Harrods

MESSINIACosta Navarino, the prime sustainable destination in Messinia, is introducing in the UK a series of high quality products, Navarino Icons. Inspired by the history and culture of the region, the collection that aims to acquaint people with the rich Messinian culture and its diverse palate of flavors from processed traditional agricultural products, is now available at Harrods, London’s largest luxury and most prestigious department store.

This undiscovered yet accessible part of Greece is being promoted at the same time its natural beauty and heritage are both protected and preserved.

Messinia is in the southwestern part of the Peloponnese and became part of independent Greece as a result of the Greek War of Independence (1821-1832). The famous naval Battle of Navarino, where Costa Navarino borrowed its name from, took place near present Pylos in 1827, and was a decisive victory for Greece and its allies.

The food products of the Navarino Icons series have been created from recipes handed down through generations, honoring the region’s culinary heritage and using the highest quality natural ingredients, without preservatives, additives or artificial colorings.

The series will soon become available in more distinguished retailers, bringing the Messinian flavors and culture to homes around the world.
