Greek Heritage Night to Take Place at NY Citi Field

Greek-Americans do not miss a chance to show their support regarding anything concerning their heritage, especially when it concerns kids. On June 16th, the Greek Children’s Fund is organizing a Greek Heritage Night at Citi Field in New York.

According to President of the Fund, Mr George Kitsios, more than 1,000 Greek-Americans have signed up for the event, which is the biggest event organized by the new leadership of the Greek Children’s Fund. Their purpose is to raise money in order to purchase a guesthouse where sick Greek and Cypriot children could be housed.

Attendants of the Greek Night will have the chance to meet other Greek-Americans and enjoy Greek dance and music groups as well as a presentation of traditional Greek costumes. Robin Horneff Co and Larkin Dance groups, which participated in the opening ceremony of the Atlanta 1996 Olympic Games, will also take part in the event.

During the past two decades, this large fundraising event attracts not only Greeks and Cypriots, but also Americans flooding into Citi Field.
