The Greek creators of Debtocracy documentary, Katerina Kitidi and Aris Hatzistefanou present their new documentary “Catastroϊka” focusing on the shifting of state assets to private hands.
They travel round the world gathering data on privatization in developed countries and search for clues on the day after Greece’s massive privatization program.
The title of the documentary comes from the combination of the words ‘catastrophe’ and ‘Troika’ (the tripartite committee led by the European Commission with the European Central Bank and the International Monetary Fund, that organised the financial rescues of Greece, Ireland and Portugal).
“Catastroϊka” is a crowdfunded documentary under creative commons license.
