The Vice President of the Greek Government, Theodoros Pagkalos stated during an interview on the French radio program ‘Europe 1’ that he is not against of one country’s loss of its national sovereignty.
After a question concerning if European presence in Greece constitutes the loss of Greece’s national sovereignty, Pagkalos answered that he understands the reactions of the Greek people, although he emphasized that he has always been a ‘European Federalist’.
” I know that the loss of the national sovereignty is a problem for the Greek population but I am not against of one country’s loss of its national sovereignty”, Pagkalos underlined.
“We always need to see both sides of the coin”. For example, if a Commision reperesentative came from Greece, then you believe that the things would be different? I do not think so”, Pagkalos conluded.
