Internationally recognized Greek filmmaker and producer Thodoros Aggelopoulos was seriously injured by a passing motorcycle in the ring road of Drapetsona at 7 pm Tuesday, while shooting for his new film project.
The 77-year-old filmmaker tried to cross the street when a motorcycle hit him severely. The rider of the motorcycle was a special marshal, who at the time was off duty.
Both Aggelopoulos and the motorcycle rider were immediately taken to a Faliro hospital for further medical examinations.
