Minister of Development, Competitiveness and Shipping Michalis Chrysochoidis was booed by members of the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels during its meeting hosted at the Metropolitan Expo Centre in Athens.
The Minister tried to deliver his speech normally but booing, slogans, and jeers continued throughout the Minister’s speech. At some point some people from the audience moves towards the podium against Chrysochoidis, expressing their strong disappointment and anger over the government policies about hotel businesses.
President of the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels Giorgos Tsakiris intervened in an attempt of appeasing the situation but, nevertheless, stressed the fact that the hotel branch is under a lot of pressure and frustration.
ND leader Antonis Samaras has also delivered a salutation to the audience and presented his party’s ideas and proposals on tourism development.
