Three New Greek Destinations from Leeds Bradford in England

Ryanair has announced plans to launch flights to three Greek destinations from Leeds Bradford next spring.
The no-frills airline will operate flights to Corfu, Chania (Crete) and Kos from the Yorkshire hub.

Ryanair will compete against Jet2 and Thomson Airways on the Corfu route, and Thomas Cook on flights to Kos. There are no other airlines currently operating scheduled flights to Chania from Leeds Bradford, although Jet2 offer services to Crete’s main airport in Heraklion.

Ryanair’s controversial chief executive, Michael O’Leary, said the Irish carrier is planning to take advantage of Greece’s currency devaluation following their expected departure from the Eurozone. He said: “We take any currency, including mountain goats. There’s going to be a tourist boom. For Greece, the tourist business will become more important than ever.”
