A one-day event for the Greek ambassadors was organized at the  Giannos Kranidiotis amphitheatre at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The aim of the event was to coordinate Greek foreign policy and to inform in detail the heads of Greek delegations abroad about the future plans concerning the economic crisis, management of the Greek debt in cooperation with foreign experts, and how this situation influences the foreign policy.
The seminar began on the morning of Thursday, 28 July. It was the first time that Greek Prime Minister Mr. Papandreou had spoken to the Greek diplomats. Speeches were also given by the Minister of Economics, the General Secretary and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Minister of Culture and Tourism, the Deputy Minister of Development, Competitiveness and Shipping and the Minister of Defense.
Their purpose was to strengthen relations between the Greek government and its diplomats.  During his speech, the Prime Minister thanked them for their great efforts in convincing foreign politicians that the Greeks were making huge sacrifices and that the government was trustworthy.
