Christos Tsagkas, one of the most important Greek theatre artists, passed away last Tuesday. He was found dead in his home in the centre of Athens. It was concluded that he couldn’t stand the thought of his daughter’s death anymore. Theatre audience adored the actor, but most knew him for his role on the TV series as Manousos Manousakis on “Tmima ithon”. Since he lost his daughter, Tsagkas had been a reck. He had never been to the cemetery, as he couldn’t accept that his beloved girl was buried there. He didn’t go out, he read a lot, he translated and wrote. Christos Tsagkas was a National Theatre graduate and has cooperated with many well-known and successful actors, such as Alex Minotis, Katina Paksinou, Dimitris Chorn and many others. The actor had participated in 27 films and 21 TV series. His funeral took place yesterday in the village where he came from, in the area of Livadia.
