Greek accused of giving Police confidential information to gangs

The Greek Terry Gregoriou who was working as an employee in the police of the New South Wales is accused of stealing confidential police information and giving them to two bike gangs, named Comanchero and Notorious, since November  2008 to December 2009.

The 33-year-old man is accused of giving this information to his Greek cousin, member of the gang Comanchero. The video cameras show Gregoriou printing the confidential documents and leaving the room. There is also a recording of his phone calls.

His barrister says that the accused may took the documents out of his office but that does not mean that he gave them to the gangs.

In the recent years, the New South Wales Police is shocked by accusations of corruption as many confidential documents about drugs end up to the gangs.

But we should underline that the seven charges against Gregoriou for stealing confidential documents are not considered serious and they do not result to great punishment.
