16.000 tourists are enclaved in Turkey and Greece, following the colapse of a British Travel Company called Goldtrail.
As far as Greece is concerned, Goldtrail had already booked 5.000 seats from April till October. 1.200 seats were booked for the island of Corfu, which will probably remain vacant! According to information, about 800 tourists are already in Greece and will return to their homeland.
At the moment, 150 tourists are in Corfu, and will go back on Monday with their tickets paid by the British state. However, they will have to pay on their own for their accommodation till the beginning of the week! All British tourists, will not face great problems as the British Civil Aviation Authority, faces all these unexpected cases when necessary. The problem now is that the tourists who planned to visit Greece are not coming!
CAA announced that all tourists will go back to their homeland after their vacation. The flights departed from Turkey will not face any discomfort, but the flights from Athens may be rescheduled. Goldtrail will not realise any flights and the tickets will not be valid. In any case, contact your travel agent!
