A pregnant singer walking the runway as milk-like liquid streamed from her sculptural top provided a dramatic finale to Greek designer Dimitra Petsa’s London Fashion Week show, which also featured three dresses described as inspired by Minoan art. English singer Leigh-Anne Pinnock, pregnant with her third child, made her London Fashion Week runway debut on September 21, closing Petsa’s Spring/Summer 2027 collection.
Designer Describes Runway Finale as Focused on Motherhood
Pinnock appeared in a flowing white outfit that highlighted her pregnancy. At the finale, her sculptural top released streams of milk-like liquid as part of the show’s theatrical presentation. The special-effects garment was designed to simulate lactation.

Models appeared in flowing white garments, sheer fabrics, sculptural silhouettes and elaborate headpieces. The collection was described as exploring pregnancy, the female body and the physical and emotional transformation associated with becoming a mother.
The designer told Vogue that pregnant friends inspired the collection and its ideas about transformation.
Ancient Crete Meets Contemporary Fashion
The designer described the collection as having a connection to ancient Crete. Three sheer mesh dresses featured digital prints designed to resemble Minoan flower frescoes. The looks brought imagery associated with Bronze Age Crete onto the contemporary London runway. Vogue specifically highlighted the trio shortly before the show’s finale.
The collection moved between white and translucent fabrics, earthy tones and vivid floral colors. Other looks drew on draping, wet-look textures and sculptural shapes.

A Greek Designer at the Center of the Story
The designer behind “Holy Milk” is Dimitra Petsa, the Greek creative force behind Di Petsa. According to her, the collection reflects on motherhood, not simply as a category of fashion but as a process of physical and personal transformation.
Her work often draws on the body, water, draping and references to Greek history and mythology. Her latest collection continued that visual language while placing motherhood at its center.
