Thousands of chicken and turkey feet washed ashore on the Greek island of Evia on Saturday, resulting in an unusual scene along the coastline and raising questions about the source of the poultry remains.

Local residents discovered the remains at Malakonta on August 22, where large quantities covered sections of the beach. They alerted the authorities after encountering the animal remains along the shore.

Coast Guard responds after chicken feet wash ashore on Greek island of Evia

Coast Guard personnel later arrived at the area and documented the incident, according to local reports. However, authorities had not established the origin of the poultry feet as of Saturday evening. It also remained unclear how such a large quantity entered the sea before reaching the Evia coastline. Meanwhile, residents expressed concern about the presence of animal remains on the beach and possible sanitation issues. The unusual discovery drew additional attention because of the volume of poultry remains scattered across the shore.

At the time of publication, the relevant authorities had not issued an official announcement explaining the incident or identifying the source of the chicken and turkey feet. Therefore, questions remained over where the material came from and how it reached the beach at Malakonta.
